Because of all our hard work in 2020, we're fortunate to be in the position to pressure Democrats who can actually pass the legislation we need. And as frustrating as it's been, we do seem to be getting to the finish line on Build Back Better soon. We know Senator Schumer expects to get BBB passed before the Senate's holiday recess, even if it takes “some long nights and weekends.” Our job is the same as it ever was, to keep the pressure on them! So we keep making the calls. Of course, we will keep you updated in case we need to change our tactics. 1. Demand our senators pass BBB asap. The House just passed the Build Back Better Act. Now it is time for the Senate to do its job and pass BBB this week. It is urgent to call our senators and tell them how important it is that we pass an inclusive recovery bill immediately. 2. Demand our senators change the filibuster to pass the Freedom to Vote Act. Senator Schumer and other Democratic Senators have agreed to move forward with democracy reform, even without Republican support. Call our senators and tell them you want them to adjust the filibuster to pass the Freedom to Vote Act now.

Most of us want to leave a healthy and beautiful future for those to come. But for years, a handful of PA lawmakers beholden to the fossil fuel industry blocked development of clean energy jobs while allowing their donors to pollute our communities. The Infrastructure & Jobs Act builds a world class clean energy industry in Pennsylvania, protects our planet, upgrades our power structure, secures us against threats, and creates clean energy jobs.
