One More Week + MAGA Default Rally

Happy Wednesday Activists! We hope you're having a good week so far. Okay there's only one week until the primary election. You can see all the information you need below. And as we've said, we ALL can help make sure we have a robust turnout by telling our neighbors and friends how important the May 16th election is! As the experts say, voting breeds more voting, so we want everyone "primed" to vote in November. (Pun intended. ) You can give your family and friends the important dates and information below and in our past newsletters here, here, here and here and here. And don't forget to check out our website page that has more information on the races.

ELECTION DEADLINES! Today by 5:00 pm - If you waited until now. to apply for a mail-in ballot do it now so you have time to make sure your ballot is returned in time to be counted. Drop it in a ballot box though - don't mail it because it might not be delivered in time. Next Tuesday, May 16 -- Election Day! Voting at the polls? Polls are open 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. If you're not sure where to vote, find your polling place here. Voting by mail? If you haven't already, sign up to vote by mail here - THIS MINUTE!! Today is the last day! Mail-in ballots are being mailed out now. Check on the status of your mail-in ballot at the ballot tracker here. Find the nearest mail-in ballot drop boxes here.

YOUR COMPREHENSIVE ELECTION GUIDES City Races -- We think the very best comprehensive guide to the city races is the Inquirer Voters Guide. It is NOT behind the paywall, so check it out. You can see as much or as little information on each candidate as you want. Judicial Races -- Check out the Philadelphia Bar Association's recommendations for the candidates for our local bench Check out the PA Bar Association's assessments for the statewide bench.

IMPORTANT SPECIAL ELECTION! Help Elect a State Rep to Keep the Democratic Majority You probably know that last year the Democrats won the majority in the State House. BUT, did you know that this one-seat lead is in jeopardy ? There is now a vacancy in a Delaware County seat and the special election to fill it is May 16th. The Democrat running is Heather Boyd and you can help get her elected and save the Democrats' majority! Sign up to phone bank or canvass here , or make a donation. We need to keep that majority to help defend against terrible Republican bills and ballot questions!

MAGA DEFAULT CRISIS RALLY! No Compromises - Avoid Default! MAGA Republicans are trying to drive our country into default because they don't want to pay for the bills that have already been spent. We won't let them. We want our Members of Congress to make sure they do not compromise on full funding for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. We need to increase the urgency and tell our Members of Congress to raise the debt-ceiling and avoid the MAGA Default Crisis. No cuts. Not excuses. Sign up here. And we'll thank Congressman Boyle and Congressman Evans for fighting for a clean bill that raisies the debt ceiling pure and simple - no negotiations, no bargaining over the budget. Join us to tell our legislators that we won't stand for anything less than a clean bill to raise the debt ceiling. We'll have signs and some fun things too! When: Friday, May 19th at 5:00 pm Where: Second Bank of the United States, 420 Chestnut St, Philadelphia. Sign up here.

ANOTHER MAGA DEFAULT CRISIS RALLY! Join our friends from H-CAN Indivisible, Indivisible Lower Merion, and Indivisible Upper Darby to tell Congress that we won't stand for anything less than a clean bill to raise the debt ceiling. We need to avoid the MAGA default crisis! When: Sunday, May 21, 11:45 am - 12:30 pm. Where: Southwest corner of City and Lancaster Avenues, Wynnewood Sign up here.
