63 Days Until Election Day
Happy Tuesday, Activists!
The polling is everywhere and hard to ignore. But experts tell us that while even the most reliable polls are interesting, they will not predict the results of an election. The details found in polling tell us what certain segments of the people polled are thinking at that moment, but they are not a predictor of where the race will be two months from now. So while we are hopeful (and joyful!) we can't relax for a minute.
And as Dan Pfeiffer, former Obama Communications Director, reminds us repeatedly "a poll that has a candidate up a few points and one that has them down a few points say the same thing. The race is a tossup."
So, we are heeding that advice and keeping our foot squarely on the pedal, driving forward to a win in November. One way you can join us on this drive is canvassing. And you can sign up for our 35 Doors Program, talk to your neighbors and answer their questions about the candidates and voting. Or you can sign up for some of the other options we have listed below. We have lots of them for you!
We're looking forward to seeing you out there!
