The Big Bad Bill Must Go Down

Happy Tuesday, Activists! 

Republicans just passed the the Trump Tax Scam, a/k/a the Big Disgusting Bill, in the Senate and now it goes back to the House.  These horrible cuts are all because they have to get that money money money to the wealthiest in the country at the cost to the poorest and middle class.

But House Republicans will still need to hold their very fractured coalition together to take a vote on the bill by the end of the self-imposed deadline to get it to Trump's desk by July 4.  Tick tock, time's a-wasting while they fight amongst themselves.

Now that the bill moves back to the House it's time for us to spring into action!  The House Republicans are also very divided so we have a chance to slow down the vote so more Americans see the damage they are causing.

Email or call your representative and tell them you will not stand for cuts to SNAP and Medicaid to fund billionaires' tax breaks.  In the House the Republicans have another razor-thin margin, so let's work to stop it there.

PHONE BANK TO DEFEAT THE BIG TAX SCAM

Tonight and tomorrow!

Indivisible is still organizing phone banks to call working people to urge them to connect with their senators and tell them to vote NO on the Trump Tax Scam.  

Pass or fail in the Senate, the fight doesn’t end with today's vote. Our work to reach people in key districts continues, and we have shifts open this week to make calls.

DIE-IN AT FITZPATRICK'S OFFICE WITH BUCKS COUNTY INDIVISIBLE

TOMORROW JULY 2, 4:00 PM

Join our good friends at Bucks County Indivisible for a Die-In to save Medicare and SNAP.  It will be at Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick's office, 1717 Newtown-Langhorne Road, Langhorne, PA 19047.  TOMORROW, JULY 2, 4:00 PM. 

DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE READING!

Some Philadelphia Indivisible members are holding a public reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 4.  Colonial costumes honoring our founding fathers and mothers are welcome.  Come one come all!  And music too!  See info below.

1.  Just the Facts with Fetterman rallies are on hiatus.  We'll be back in the fall with new ideas and new strategies. 

2.  Every Friday -- 11:15 am - Join Fridays@Fetterman's for the weekly Friday vigil for peace in Gaza/Palestine outside of Senator John Fetterman's office at 200 Chestnut Street from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm. Register here  This is canceled for this week. 

3.  Every Friday, 5:00 - 6:00 pm -- Protest at Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick's office at One Summit Square, Langhorne, PA. Bring signs about whatever you want. There's a lot to complain about!

4.  Every Wednesday 4:00 pm -- Join this resistance group at #WeThePeopleWednesdays for Singing for Sanity at Richard Allen Lane train station, Cresheim and Allen Lanes.
