No knight in shining armor is coming to save democracy.

It's up to all of us to save our country and our rights.

~ Hillary Rodham Clinton

Happy Tuesday, Activists!

And on Hillary's note, we can get this done!  We have the tools, and if we each pick up one of the tools, we'll succeed.

Check out last Tuesday's compendium of all the election protection efforts you can join. And check out the phone bank options too.  Sign up for these options soon because time is getting short and the required trainings won't happen forever!  Right now the PA Dems are making a special request for more Poll Observers and Volunteer Recruitment phone banks.

BIG CHANGE TO OUR SUFFS EVENT!

Making it easier to attend

Due to unforeseen circumstances we need to change our SUFFS event to a zoom event only.  This will make it easier for you to attend while it will still be fascinating.

We'll also discuss our plans for the post-election period, how we're getting ready for any possible "shenanigans" that may be coming, and how you can get ready too.

This will be a super interesting meeting and we hope you'll join us!  Also, you can still donate to support our No Kings and our post-election efforts.  If you can, any amount will be enough.  It all helps and we are so grateful for your support!

Sign up here.

Donate here if you can.

This Saturday, the nationwide movement will be over 2,000 events for No Kings: Vote Early.  This time it's all about securing the vote - early.

Here is how our event will work:

  • There will be 10 events at all but one of the Satellite Election Offices and City Hall.

  • Here are the locations:

                6420 Frankford Ave

                1619 Grant Ave

                1835 S Broad St

                2301 N Broad St

                2739 N 5th St

                4029 Market St

                5301 Chew Ave

                6100 Woodland Ave

                6233 N Broad St

City Hall, 1400 John F Kennedy Blvd, South Portal, Room 140

  •  Sign up here to go to the office of your choice.

  • The hours of the event are 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Come whenever you can and stay for as long as you can.

  • We will have at least one person leading the event at your location.

  • This will be more of a party atmosphere - a few balloons, signs, blowup costumes, maybe some food and music.  We'll have a light-hearted atmosphere to excite people to vote now.

  • But we have a serious purpose - to ask folks if they are ready to vote and if so, to encourage them to register to vote if needed, drop their mail-in ballot in the drop box, or Vote On Demand (see above).

HERE ARE SOME IDEAS FOR WHAT YOU CAN DO:

  • Have you registered voters in the past?  Tell the person leading your location you can help.

  • Do you have a funny costume that maybe you wore in a previous No Kings?  Bring it!

  • Bring a sign

  • Bring your good humor and friendliness.

  • You might be asked to go to a location down the block to attract more voters with your sign.

When: This Sunday, 10:15 - 2:00 (including drive time). The canvass starts at 11:00.

Where: Location to be provided once you sign up.
