Happy Tuesday Activists! Now that we're post-election, we hope you're taking a break and that at least some of your favorite candidates were elected. We're also thrilled that Heather Boyd from Delaware County was elected so that the Democrats maintain their majority in the PA State House. That's a huge win and means that our rights are safeguarded for now, because voters showed up! AND, we have some late-breaking and exciting news! TOMORROW'S MEETING WITH CONGRESSMAN BRENDAN BOYLE The Statewide Indivisible Leadership Team will host Congressman Boyle at our monthly meeting tomorrow night from 7:00 - 7:30. Boyle is the Ranking Member on the House Budget Committee, and as the top Democrat on this committee, he has been in the forefront on the MAGA Default crisis. As you may remember he wrote the "Dear Colleague" letter to the other House Dems asking they sign on to a letter to Speaker McCarthy, calling out the extreme Republican agenda and their hypocrisy on the debt ceiling. Last week he filed the discharge petition to allow Congress to prevent a catastrophic default without McCarthy's interference. All of the Democrats have signed on to it and we only need five Republicans to come to their senses and sign on, and end the debt ceiling debate. Here's his video about it. The Congressman will talk about all of that at tomorrow's meeting and then take some questions. So join us to hear all about the issues and updates! Register here.
