Happy Friday, Activists!  We have a super short one today, just to tell you about two fun events this weekend that you could join in and also do some good for our community. These are two parades with a food drive at each. Have fun!  And, you really came through for our community on our Philabundance donation page! See the number below.   Check out yesterday's newsletter at this link for the CTA and protests you can go to. |
Parades! Support Veterans and Donate For Food  Our friends at Federal Unionists Network are sponsoring food drives at two parades this weekend. The details are below. You can look for the FUN banner and join them in the parade. Or find their food table and help with the food donations. Or just come and cheer them on from the sidelines - and feel free to bring your supportive signs!  Tomorrow is the Peoplehood Parade by Spiral Q, starting at Paul Robeson House at 50th and Walnut Streets and ending at Clark Park. You can donate using the QR code below or you can bring food to Paul Robeson House from 11:30 - 12:30. Or just be there to cheer them on!  This Sunday is the Veterans Day Parade, starting at 21st Street and Ben Franklin Parkway at Noon. You can donate using the QR code below or you can bring food to Eakins Oval from 12:00 - 3:00. Or just be there to cheer them on!    ![]() YOU REALLY CAME THROUGH FOR OUR COMMUNITY! Let's keep it going!  We set a goal of $20,000 for our food drive for Philabundance and in one week we're close to $22,000! Woo-hoo!  Please continue to donate to Philabundance to help our community while SNAP benefits are not being paid. This help is essential to help our neighbors make it through this very difficult period.  You can make a donation at this link for our special page, and see our progress past our goal.  Any amount helps! Please tell your friends and family about it too. Your entire donation goes straight to Philabundance. You can select the food you want your donation to go toward or you can just donate and let them decide.   And One More Thing:  Want to promote the No Kings campaign? You can always make a donation of $35 and then check out our No Kings t-shirts, sign up for your choice and we'll send it to you to wear any time! And you know there will be another No Kings protest where you can wear them too.  Did someone forward this newsletter to you? Sign up here to get it in your inbox.  Share our social media pages to make sure you and everyone you know is updated on our projects for this year’s critical elections. Follow us on Facebook, Bluesky, and Instagram |
