"The path ahead will not be easy. But we’ll walk it together. And we will win."

Happy Wednesday, Activists
Our first message today is simply "Thank you." We can't begin to express our gratitude for being in this work with you this year. You showed up, you canvassed, you registered voters, you wrote postcards, you talked to your neighbors. And you did it all over again the next week.
As we get close to finishing up our eighth year in this fight for our democracy, it's obvious that you all have made this group bigger and better with every passing day. Without you this would be a joyless enterprise. But because of your energy, your enthusiasm, and your humor, we've successfully started new programs, increased our work, and done it with fun.
So for now, we hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday. We'll all take a few days to rest and reflect. And then we'll get going again. With you.
So here goes with today's Calls To Action. Since we still hold the Senate and Presidency we need to use that power through the end of the year in any way we can. Below is the info to call our senators and tell them to make sure they get President Biden's judicial nominations through ASAP and vote down H.R. 9495.
TWO CALLS TO ACTION
We hate to repeat ourselves, but sometimes Congress makes us do it.
1. Just like we did last week, we need to call our senators and tell them they need to confirm President Biden's picks for federal judges ASAP. There are at least 25 pro-democracy judges waiting to be confirmed ahead of the new administration, folks who have been handpicked by Biden for their diversity, ethics, and commitment to justice. If the Senate doesn’t confirm them all before Trump takes power, he’ll be able to stack the judiciary with MAGA sycophants.
There's no time to lose so please call our senators and tell them to act quickly to approve the Biden judicial nominees. You can call over the holiday weekend and leave a voicemail. It works just as well as a live conversation.
Call our Democratic senators and tell them to fill every judicial vacancy now. Or use Indivisible's tool to email them here.
2. Last week the House passed H.R. 9495, the bill that would give the incoming Trump administration unchecked power to target any non-profit organization that stands in the way of his MAGA agenda.
Now, the bill is going to the Senate for consideration. Because Democrats control the Senate, the real risk here is that the bill gets attached to some other piece of must-pass legislation. We need senators to forcefully speak out against that happening. Contact our Democratic senators and tell them to oppose H.R. 9495. Or use Indivisible's tool to email them here.
