Happy Friday, Activists! We hope your week has gone well. Today we have the happy task of calling in support of a fantastically qualified judge nominated to the U.S. Supreme Court.
CALL TO ACTION You may have heard that the Senate Judiciary Committee has announced that the nomination hearings for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will start next Monday, March 21. This is exciting!
Judge Jackson is eminently qualified and deserves swift and fair consideration. In supporting Judge Jackson, we help seat a superb candidate to the Supreme Court, who is also the first public defender, and the first Black woman! e have an opportunity to lock in a more representative judiciary for years to come, so let’s make it happen. We need to support her historic nomination as loudly as possible, and that includes calling on both our Democratic and Republican senators to vote yes to confirm her.
