We Have a New Website! Plus, More Actions

Good morning, Activists!

If you’re more worried than ever about what’s happening, we get it. It seems there is no limit to how low this administration can go. Or frankly for how incompetent they can be.

So let’s get to work to replace them! We have a lot of work you can do and have some fun in the process. Scroll to the bottom for our upcoming postcard events.  We’ll have some new voter registration drives coming up very soon too.

BUT FIRST – We at Indivisible Philadelphia HQ are proud to tell you that we have launched a new website!  Go visit it – www.indivisiblephiladelphia.com  We hope you like it!  We’ll be posting a lot of information there for you.  More on all that later.

Katie, Monserrate, and Hanna worked their tails off to make our website easy to navigate and just plain beautiful, so we all owe them a big “Thank You!” Your generous support has made this possible and we thank you for being in this together. Because why? Because together we can do anything – including flipping – oh let’s say maybe – the White House and Senate?!?

CALL TO ACTION

Two Calls To Action for the rest of this week.  You can pick one for today and one for tomorrow or Friday.

Sen. Toomey – Phila office 215-241-1090; D.C. office 202-224-4254; email link Sen. Casey – Phila office 215-405-9660; D.C. office 202-224-6324; email link Rep. Evans – D.C. office 202-225-4001; Phila. office (215) 276-0340; email link Rep. Boyle – D.C. office (202) 225-6111; Phila office (215) 335-3355; email link

1.  No War With Iran – Call all of your Members of Congress and tell them to state clearly and without equivocation that they DO NOT want a war with Iran. Things might seem to be quieting down on the Iran front right now, but we can’t count on Trump do ever do the right thing. So make it clear to our Members of Congress that you do not want a war.  If things heat up again Congress is perhaps our only hope of stopping a war with Iran.

2.  Impeachment – No Sham Trial – Call our Senators and tell them you do not want a sham trial.

For Casey, demand that he speak out loudly and firmly about the need for a fair and open impeachment trial in the Senate.

For Toomey, remind him of the oath he took to support and defend the Constitution and demand he supports a fair and open trial in the Senate to fully hear the evidence and hold Trump accountable for his actions. If he doesn’t he’ll become an accomplice in Trump’s coverup.

This isn’t over until the votes are cast -- your voice could be the one to tip the scales.

POSTCARDS

You know that we write postcards to a variety of voters, such as voters in Florida to remind them to sign up to Vote By Mail, to voters for special elections, or to voters in North Carolina to remind them to check their voter registration status.  The data show that writing cards is a very effective way to get people to vote.  All you do is come with your writing hand and good humor.  And bring a friend!
