Happy Tuesday, Activists!  We hope you're getting ready to attend the No Kings 2.0 event on October 18th. We are coming to you with a special request today.    We all remember how invigorating it was to be part of our first No Kings in June. We were part of the nearly 5 million everyday people around the country who peacefully took to our streets, rising against the regime's abuses of power. We see Trump is now ramping up his attacks and threats to our country, our democracy, our institutions and our communities. And these large protests are part of gaining the power to see this regime fail.  In less than three short weeks we'll hold another one of these energizing events. We'll again show the strength of our movement and that we choose democracy over dictatorship, in the place where our democracy was born.   Because Philadelphia was the anchor event for the first No Kings protest, the national Indivisible organization underwrote a large portion of the costs. For No Kings 2.0, local Indivisible chapters, like ours, must fund more of it ourselves. This time we're asking for your help with some of the costs.  Since January, 2017 when our group started, we have never needed to send an email like this. But, you know that we have never had a time like this!  Now, your support is crucial to make this No Kings 2.0 a success and show we stand against the authoritarian takeover of our government.  We have three ways for you to contribute:  1. You can join us at a really fun wine and cheese event! You'll taste seven delicious wines while you learn about the history, science, and current state of wine and winemaking.  After all, it's an 8,000 year old beverage so there are a lot of stories! You will learn from a certified wine educator who will answer all your wine questions! Where:  Ethical Society, 1906 Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia When: Monday, October 13, 6:00 PM We have three levels of support -- The $100 level The $150 level The $250 level Make your donation to attend here.  2. You can donate $35.00 and receive a T-shirt!  These are t-shirts have the No Kings logo on the front and they are super cool. You can wear yours on October 18th and show solidarity with the power of democracy. Your t-shirt will be direct shipped to you.
