35 Doors Is Back! It's Time To Talk To Voters

Happy Thursday, Activists!

We want to let you know that we are starting our 35 Doors Program now for this general election!  We've very excited because this time we have a super easy message you'll be reminding voters about and also we have a new app for your phone to record your visits.  I've tested it out and it works really easily.  Details below and a meeting coming up.

YOU CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN THIS ELECTION!

As we know, this program is based on neighborhood canvassing because we are the most credible when the voters know who we are or at least that we live right down the street.

At this point in the election cycle, and as experts in the field emphasize, it's most important to make sure that voters "bank" their vote early so they know it's already in and it's safe from shenanigans.  So we'll ask if they've already signed up to vote by mail and if so, to please fill out the ballot early and drop it off in a drop box.  If they have not signed up to vote by mail, we'll ask if they would be willing to sign up so they could get their vote in earlier than election day.  You may know that mail-in ballots are coming out this week.

And finally, we'll tell them that if they want to, they could go to a Satellite Election Office (SEO) to "vote early" under the PA election laws.  The process for this at the SEO is to 1) ask for the mail-in ballot application; 2) fill it out and hand it back in; 3) receive the ballot and enter your votes;  4) drop the completed mail-in ballot package in the drop box at the SEO.  That's PA's version of "early voting."  We'll have a link in the handout for them to find all the details.

Of course we'll ask how they are feeling about the election and remind them that elections are safe and secure and that they can vote however they prefer.
