 CALL TO ACTION

Tell Congress - No Funding for Trump's War

Trump’s war has already cost the lives of US servicemembers, at least 1,000 Iranian civilians, and others caught in the crossfire throughout the region. Democrats' efforts to end it with a War Powers Resolution failed last week, but the fight is far from over.

The regime will soon ask for billions more of taxpayers' money to continue their bloodsoaked recklessness.  We need to call and email our Members of Congress and demand they refuse to fund Trump's war.

The American public is firmly against this conflict. None of us want another forever war. Congress must act. We’re calling on Members of Congress to respond to this crisis by:

1. Conducting immediate oversight

2. Continuing to force votes on War Powers Resolutions

3. Restricting or cutting off funding for unauthorized hostilities, which includes opposing any supplemental packages that would fund the war

4. Holding the Trump administration accountable and putting an immediate stop to this.

We need Democrats committing to an aggressive accountability agenda. It’s good that Dems started rallying around impeachment of Noem last week, and it’s good that she became enough of a PR headache that Trump had to fire her. But impeachment and removal is not enough.  We need full accountability for Trump and his appointees, his donors, his business partners, and his secret police.  It's up to us to make sure that happens.

Here are the contacts to call and write:

Let's make sure we get out and show this regime we are fed up with their lawless war, their lawless and cruel ICE abductions, their cutting off healthcare coverage, food to poor children, and more.  On March 28th we'll show that together we can overcome this regime's repression when we unite.  After all, the country belongs to us, the people!  Sign up here!

We will gather at City Hall starting at noon, start the march at 12:30 down the Ben Franklin Parkway and rally at about 1:15 at 22nd Street where there will be the stage and some music with a DJ.  Then a some exciting speakers.  And then (drum roll please) a dance party with an exciting musical group!  Sign up here!
