Happy Friday, Activists!

We hope you're having a good week amid the chaos.  Remember that we are all in this resistance movement together.  There is strength in numbers and we're showing that as we grow bigger and stronger every day, all with you and your incredible energy.

You can see the details for this week's Calls To Action in this Wednesday's newsletter.  We have a couple of new items below.

MAY DAY NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION

We'll show that We The People are Indivisible.

Historically, May Day celebrates the progress of working people and honors those who fought for it, but as the MAGA movement rolls back workers’ rights and strips America down for profit, we’re joining a vast coalition of unions and other organizations to turn May 1 into a nationwide day of mobilization.

Trump is doing everything he can to ensure that working people are getting fleeced while billionaires grow their wealth and power.  And don't forget, they want us to be divided. It's why, as they use one hand to pick our pockets, they use the other to blame immigrants, Diversity Equity and Inclusion programs, or our trans siblings. This is a moment for working people to remind ourselves - and the billionaires controlling our government - of our power.

To confirm, we are NOT holding the 5:00 rally at Independence Mall as we originally planned.  We will join the 4:00 City Hall rally planned by a group of unions and other organizations you can see in the graphic above.  If you signed up here already, no problem.  We'll send more details there too. Otherwise just come to the rally at City Hall at 4:00 pm on May 1 and remind the administration of our power.

MCCORMICK TELE-TOWN HALLS

Senator Dave McCormick says he is hosting "regular telephone town halls," where "constituents can hear directly from me and ask questions."  We are a little dubious about how transparent these town halls are about answering our questions, but it's worth a try.

The next ones are scheduled for April 29 and May 14 at 7:00 pm.

LEAFLET PHILLY!

Here's a fun, easy way to increase voter engagement across Philadelphia (and maybe burn off some of that anxiety we are all feeling),  Every month we'll be leafleting Philadelphia — with the goal of every home, all across the city. Here's how it works.  Each month we will design a door hanger with a simple, timely and compelling message for our neighbors. This month it's about tariffs.  The door hangers will link Republicans to the chaos and misery they create and show Philadelphians how they can take action — with the ultimate goal of increasing voter turnout over the next four years!  Sign up here. You'll get 100 door hangers to simply hang on every door up and down the block.  It’s quick and easy — no knocking, no lists, just leave the leaflet on the door and stroll on to the next one! You pick the day that’s most convenient for you and repeat a month later.

Sign up here.
