Happy Tuesday, Activists!

We hope you're having a good week so far.  I know our subject line today is bold, but please pardon our exuberance.  It's because we have great news about our speaker list for No Kings.  You can see some of them below.

And don't forget to get your No Kings t-shirts!  You can see our recent fundraising email here with everything you can do to help us fund No Kings.  Thank you all for your very kind donations!  If you haven't already, sign up to get a No Kings t-shirt to wear to the rally!  They're cool and we have well over 200 orders already.  We want to see a sea of No Kings t-shirts at the rally!  If you've ordered already you should receive your shirt in about a week.

As for the wine tasting event, we didn't say it earlier, but Vicki Miller is the wine expert who will lead the event.  Vicki is a certified wine educator (yes, a past life) who has led many such wine tasting events for over a decade.  It'll be fun, so make a donation and come on out!

POSTCARDS - YOU ARE AMAZING!

Orders are closed now.

Due to the overwhelming response we have received from you, our postcard reserves are now depleted!  We have enough cards to fulfill the current orders, but not any more.  So we are closing this campaign so we have time to deliver all the postcards that have been ordered and so you'll have enough time to mail them in time for the election.

Thank you so much for being part of this campaign!  You all are wonderful, and you've done an amazing job.  We'll have more next year in the early spring to get people to sign up to vote by mail.  So be on the lookout for that!

JOIN LEAFLET PHILLY!

Our Leaflet Philly project is going strong!  If you sign up by TOMORROW you can participate in this month's important leaflet campaign to get out the vote.  We always need more of you taking this action with us.  And the great thing is that it's fun, it's easy, and it doesn't take a lot of your time.  The link below works! (Sorry, the one on Friday did not work.)

Read all the details and how to sign up at this link.

SHOW OUR POWER AT NO KINGS 2.0!

We have several exciting speakers, and among them are Congressman Jamie Raskin, Congressman Brendan Boyle, and Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon!  Wow!  Plus, we have other amazing speakers who will be a surprise!  We are working hard on making this an amazing event and we can't wait to see you there!

The next No Kings peaceful protest will be on Saturday, October 18th.  Our plan is for a rally and march from City Hall to Independence Mall where we'll have music and hear from some exciting speakers.  However, please be aware that these locations may change depending on how big we expect the crowd to be. So PLEASE sign up and urge your friends to as well, so we have an idea about crowd size.  Thanks!

Also, you can sign up to be a Peacekeeper (formerly called a marshal), which would really help.  Training is provided if you have not already been trained.

HELP CURE BALLOTS

You can avoid any trouble with your ballot by filling it out correctly.  Here's is Spotlight PA's complete guide to requesting, completing, and returning your mail ballot.

However, many voters make mistakes with their ballots that need to be corrected in order to be counted.  Historically, Democrats have used mail ballots in PA more than twice as often as Republicans. A significant number of those mail ballots have had errors on their envelopes or ID errors which were never fixed, or "cured," so those votes were never counted!

It is projected that in the upcoming election, roughly 5,000 - 6,000 ballots will again have errors.  These ballots will not count unless voters are informed and take action.  But you can help fix this!

Our friends at VoteProPros are once again running ballot cure canvasses. If you volunteer you'll be making sure that voters with ballot errors are informed and are able to make their votes count.

Voters are first contacted by phone but if they don't answer then the cure canvassers go to their homes to explain how to fix their ballot. Think about it, you will have the chance to actually help a voter have their vote counted when it otherwise wouldn't be.

To be a canvasser, there is a zoom training during the first 2 weeks of October.  Canvassing will take place over 10 days from October 23rd to November 4th (Election Day) and you will likely canvass in pairs. And of course there will be plenty of support throughout.

Sign up here to volunteer.
