Happy Tuesday, Activists!
We hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend and that you have a fantastic New Year's celebration, however you celebrate.
This Saturday, come join us at our Citizens Bank protests. You have two options for bank branch locations, below.
Also, in case you didn't see it, this is a recording of the 60 Minutes segment about the CECOT detention facility in El Salvador, that was pulled at the last minute by CBS leadership, likely to keep Trump happy. It's just one of the many reminders that if there's to be any constraint on the Trump regime it will come only when we win back the House and Senate next year. We'll have more on our plans in the coming weeks!
![]() PROTEST AT CITIZENS BANK
Most people don't know this about Citizens Bank, and we're telling them. It has long financed private prison and detention facility companies even though there have been years of evidence of forced labor, healthcare neglect, and other abuses. Citizens is a lender to companies like CoreCivic and GEO Group, which have caused widespread, documented harm to people in their facilities.
In Pennsylvania, GEO operates the Moshannon Valley Processing Center, the largest ICE detention facility in the Northeast. It is where most of our neighbors are taken after ICE abducts them off the street. It is a cruel and inhumane place.
Join us at our protests outside Citizen branches - this Saturday at the two listed below. We'll have handouts for you to give people walking by and you can bring your signs!
When: Saturday, January 3rd, 10:00AM to 11:30AM Where: Two locations for you to choose from - 1515 Market Street - Sign up here 900 South Street (near Whole Foods) - Sign up here

JOIN OUR LEAFLET PHILLY TEAM!
Join this exciting team and hang door hangers once a month. It's easy and effective!
Here's how it works. You'll receive 100 door hangers to hang on door knobs up and down the block. We'll give you the specific blocks near your home for you to go to.
We're currently dropping over 50,000 door hangers around the city right now - that's 10% of the city's reachable doors! We're reminding people that those higher food prices for their holiday meals are not in their imagination - plus who is causing it and who to call about it.
