Welcome to Friday, Dear Activists ~ We hope you are doing well this week. In the aftermath of the school massacre in Uvalde, Texas, we wanted to tell you about some rallies that are planned here and elsewhere. The first one is today at noon in Philadelphia. We will get back to giving you the details of our voter outreach programs soon but right now you may want to show your outrage, sadness, or frustration in public spaces. And while showing up for these actions makes an impact, at the end of the day the most important thing we can do is get voters to the polls to prevent pro-gun violence politicians from holding office. For all of you in and outside Pennsylvania, here's a list of where every Senate Republican stands on gun safety legislation. It also includes their career NRA fundraising amounts. Here's a list of members of Congress who have received the most from all gun rights organizations. Ted Cruz tops the list. Below are the rallies. If you know of more just let us know.
TODAY at NOON -- Ceasefire PA is holding a Rally to End Gun Violence. Governor Wolf, A.G. Shapiro, and others will be there. We hope you can make it and show your outrage that we don't have better gun laws. Show them you'll keep pushing for more and more gun safety legislation to protect our children, our families, our communities. Where: Congregation Rodeph Shalom, 615 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19123 When: noon-1 pm today Who: Governor Wolf, Attorney General Shapiro, community leaders, and you!
