Happy Tuesday, Activists!

We hope you're having a good week.  Today we have some new actions for you and a candidate we can help to flip a Congressional seat!

We hope you'll have a peaceful and delicious Thanksgiving Day and weekend - watching the parade, the arrival of Santa, taking in some movies, and of course the National Dog Show at noon on Thursday. 🐈

GET OUT THE VOTES FOR AFTYN BEHN

A FORMER INDIVISIBLE ORGANIZER!

This is our next chance to stomp the regime at the ballot box and it's in Tennessee, where Aftyn Behn can flip a deep-red Trump district in a special election.  Have you heard about Aftyn, the former Indivisible organizer running for Congress?  She's running to flip the seat in Tennessee's 7th District in Nashville.  Her race is starting to be all over different news outlets and it's looking like she's got a real chance to flip this seat.

You can call voters from anywhere.  All you need is a phone and computer, and Indivisible will have a live training before the shift.  They’ll be using Scale to Win, the easy-to-use calling tool, to connect with voters across TN-07 and ensure that they have a plan to vote in this critical special election.

A short phonebanking training will be included at the beginning of each phonebank, so both first-time dialers and phonebank pros are welcome to join. Be sure to have both a computer and a phone so that you can make calls to voters.

Sign up for a shift here for today or Monday.

Paid for by Indivisible Action (Indivisible.org).

Not authorized by any candidate or candidate committee.

WE AIN'T BUYING IT!

From Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday – let’s make our dollars count. Let's hit a pause on shopping from these major corporations. We can refuse to send our money to the companies undermining our democracy.  And it's starting to get some traction. Check out this article that says Home Depot is about to suffer from this boycott.

No Home Depot - It has allowed its parking lots to become ground zero for ICE raids on immigrant day laborers, and its billionaire co-founder Bernie Marcus has funneled millions into Trump’s campaigns.

No Target - Once branded itself as the friendly, inclusive big-box store, has now scrapped its DEI goals and scaled back LGBTQ+ offerings to avoid angering the regime.

No Amazon - It didn’t just shower Trump’s inauguration with cash -- Jeff Bezos’ company pitched facial-recognition tools to ICE and powers the Palantir systems ICE uses to track and deport immigrants, making Amazon a core contractor for the regime’s deportation machine..

Some of you are already not buying from them - good for you!

Instead, we can buy from local stores and support our communities.  And spread the word about this boycott!

GOOD NEWS!  OUR WORK . . . WORKS!

You know about those Avelo Airlines protests in Wilmington?  Indivisible Highlands and Beyond have been at it for quite awhile now (and taking a break until next year).  But they did help achieve a big victory in getting Wilmington City Council to pass a resolution against the city's collaboration with ICE

The resolution asks the city to "review their contracts and end any relationships with entities that collaborate with ICE, the federal agency tasked with deporting undocumented immigrants.

One of the main targets is Avelo Airlines, the main commercial airline that flies out of Wilmington Airport . . ."

YOU KEEP COMING THROUGH FOR OUR COMMUNITY!

Let's keep it going!

SNAP benefits have not yet been restored.  So we need to keep donating to help our neighbors.  We set a goal of $20,000 for our food drive for Philabundance and in just over one week we're just about at $25,000! Woo-hoo!

Please continue to donate to Philabundance to help our community while SNAP benefits are still withheld.  SNAP benefits are supposedly on their way again but it has been very slow. So people are still struggling during this very difficult period.  You can see the background and our call to action to our elected officials at this link.

You can make a donation at this link for our special page, and see our progress past our goal.  Any amount helps!  Please tell your friends and family about it too. Your entire donation goes straight to Philabundance.  You can select the food you want your donation to go toward or you can just donate and let them decide.

AND, if you or someone you know is running short and needs to find a food bank, you can go to this list and map to find one near you.

JOIN OUR LEAFLET PHILLY TEAM!

Join this exciting team and hang door hangers once a month - it's easy and effective!

Here's how it works. You'll receive 100 door hangers to hang on door knobs up and down the block. We'll give you the specific blocks near your home for you to go to.

We're currently dropping 54,000 door hangers around the city right now - that's 10% of the city's reachable doors!  We're reminding people that those higher food prices for their holiday meals are not in their imagination - plus who is causing it and who to call about it.
