Happy Tuesday, Activists!
We hope you had a great weekend. And we hope you can make it to tomorrow's One Million Rising training. I know the first session filled up very quickly last week because there was a flood of attendees (over 150,000 signed up nationwide!). But this is important stuff and it will play into what our Philadelphia group does for the rest of this year.
If you sign up you will receive the materials and video the next day, so you can watch the training then if you need to.
As always, when you can, please be sure to take a break with family and friends from time to time to refresh yourself. |
![]() ONE MILLION RISING Join This Super Important Training This Wednesday!
Indivisible is launching a nationwide effort to train one million people to lead effective non-cooperation at every level. The idea is to train one million people in the strategic logic and practice of non-cooperation, as well as the basics of community organizing and campaign design.
Fighting back requires more than one-off days of protest or calls to Congress (both still vitally important). It requires us to expand our toolbox and construct millions of points of defiance that grind the gears of the regime.
The first training is tomorrow! Sign up! Let’s build a force bigger than fear and louder than hate.
Let’s get ready. Let’s get organized. Let’s stop Trump.
Two more trainings on Wednesdays from 8 - 9 pm - July 30, August 13 Sign up here for these super important training sessions.
DEMAND OUR OFFICIALS DON'T LET TRUMP BURY THE EPSTEIN FILES CALL OUR SENATORS AND HOUSE MEMBERS
Most House members are home for August recess after Republicans prematurely fled DC to avoid voting on the Epstein files. But we’re keeping the pressure on and demanding a vote as soon as they return. And even for our Democratic representatives, call them to make sure they will push hard for the files to be released. No compromise.
Read the history and coverup of these most heinous crimes and why we are pushing this in Indivisible's explainer about it all, including the coverups going back decades and involving Trump's allies. For more background, check out the excellent reporting by the Miami Herald for the background to this horribly sordid story and the horrible coverup from years ago. Oh, and don't forget that Trumps's Secretary of Labor in his first term, Alex Acosta, was involved in the coverup! It's time for transparency and to end the
Call and demand our Democratic representatives keep the pressure on and that Republicans and our senators, including Senator Fetterman, publicly support:

DEMAND OUR STATE AND LOCAL DEMS STAND UP AGAINST ICE RAIDS
MORE GOOD NEWS! PA SENATE DEMS PLAN TO INTRODUCE "NO MASK" BILL
Last week we told you the good news that our PA House Dems introduced a bill we have been pushing for - to prevent ICE agents from covering their faces when they are on duty. Then, last Friday two of our PA Senate Democrats - including Philadelphia's Senator Nikil Saval, announced their intent to introduce a similar bill, to prohibit the "use of coverings by law enforcement agents while acting within the scope of their duties."
We still need to continue to call and email and demand our other electeds take these actions.
For Governor Shapiro -- Demand he issue an executive order requiring all law enforcement in our state to display visible identification and refuse cooperation with secretive ICE raids. Demand he also support legislation that bans masked law enforcement, strengthens sanctuary protections, and increases oversight of federal immigration activity.
For Democratic state House members and senators -- Call your Democratic House member and Dem State Senator and thank them for working to enact and publicly support legislation like California’s No Secret Police Act that bans masked and unidentifiable law enforcement. This is one more reason why elections matter!
For Philadelphia City Council and Mayor Parker -- Demand they speak out publicly to condemn these politically motivated tactics and stand with the immigrant and international communities under threat. Tell them they can ban secret police tactics, cut off ICE cooperation, and strengthen sanctuary protections. They must step up and protect our community.

![]() WE ARE AMERICA MARCH SEPTEMBER 6 - 19
This march is from Philadelphia to D.C. and you can sign up for an hour, a day, or the entire trip. They have the meals and lodging already taken care of. Find out more here.
The group is marching because the promises of the Constitution are being broken. But across the country, people aren’t standing by—they’re standing up.
As they describe it: They’re dismantling the Constitution. We’re marching to save it. The American promises of liberty and justice are being broken. We march to defend them. Our government works for us—not above us. We the People are taking our country back.
LEAFLET PHILLY!
Sign up now to be part of the August leaflet drop! If you wait too long you'll just start in September, no problem. This program is for people who live in Philadelphia, as at the moment we can't assign blocks for those in other counties. Sign up here to join this fantastic team.
This project is a fun, easy way to increase voter engagement across Philadelphia (and maybe burn off some of that anxiety we're all feeling).
Each month we design a door hanger with a simple, timely and compelling message for our neighbors. The door hangers will link Republicans to the chaos and misery they create and show Philadelphians how they can take action — with the goals of moving people into action and of increasing voter turnout over the next four years. Sign up here. You'll get 100 door hangers to simply hang on every door up and down blocks near you. It’s quick and easy — no knocking, just leave the leaflet on the door and stroll on to the next one! We'll give you a walk list. You pick the day that’s most convenient for you and repeat a month later. Sign up here.
Here's the July door hanger and most of them have been distributed!
