Happy Tuesday, Activists!

We hope you're having a good week and surviving the cold weather.  Today we have a couple of new Calls To Action and how you can help our immigrant community.

CALL TO ACTION

INVESTIGATE HEGSETH'S ILLEGAL BOMBINGS

Over the last few months, the Trump regime has orchestrated the bombings of small boats in the Caribbean and Pacific that it claims are trafficking drugs bound for the US. They’ve provided no legal justification for these bombings, which have now killed over 80 people in total.

In at least one of these strikes, Hegseth ordered troops to leave no survivors. Compliance with this order required a special operations commander to launch a second strike on two civilians who survived the initial attack. This command — known as a “no quarter order” — likely constitutes a war crime.

However, the civilians on those boats were not engaged in any armed conflict with the United States. They posed no imminent threat. As former military lawyer Todd Huntley put it, because there is no legitimate war between the U.S. and these alleged traffickers, killing them literally amounts to murder.

If Congress does not put a check on this regime’s lawless violence, there’s no telling where this will end. Hegseth could label anyone a legitimate target and order the military to carry out strikes without legal justification or even evidence of wrongdoing.

Every Representative and Senator, especially those on the Arms Service committee, must demand an immediate, public investigation into these killings and the orders behind them.  Contact them and demand investigations into Hegseth's extrajudicial strikes in the Caribbean and Pacific.

CALL MT AIRY CASINO RESORT AND TELL THEM

YOU DON'T WANT A WANNABE KING THERE

President Trump is holding a rally at the Mt. Airy Casino Resort in Mt. Pocono tonight to spread misinformation about the state of our economy.  You can call the resort and register your displeasure with them for hosting him.

The resort's phone number is 877-682-4791.  Let them know you don't patronize a business that supports a president who unleashes the military on his own people, cuts SNAP benefits, and/or gets rid of ACA subsidies that we need for health insurance [or whatever issue that means the most to you].

Call and press 1 for reservations.  Tell the agent and ask them to tell their manager about people who may no longer patronize them.

If you don't want to talk to someone you can leave a message on their website

We have a lot to talk about!

"I'm grateful for the work you do and this letter-writing community you've created. Having this support certainly got me going on letter writing, something I might not have done on my own, and your emails remind me to keep doing it."

These are the words of one of our letter writers to Meg Berlin, our LTE Team lead.  We couldn't be more proud of this team for all its work getting the word out. And another letter, written by team member Maria, was just published!  That's in addition to the many others already published.

Join this fantastic team and learn the best techniques for getting your views published.  We'll give you topical ideas and tips to effectively send your thoughts to folks willing to consider another point of view.
